Tomato is one out of the 103 items that can be bought from the Shop.

Appearance

In-game, this item appears as a standard red tomato with leaves placed on top of the item.

Interaction

The item can be bought for eight coins each in-game. When interacted with, the player holding the item can throw it in the direction that said player is facing towards. On impact, it will cover part of a player's screen with a red-colored splat image that will disappear overtime. However, the player will receive no damage unless they have the Tomato Torment effect.

This item is stackable, and will be removed from the player's inventory if the player's supply of the item runs out.

Additionally, throwing tomatoes at deactivated Red Teddy will make them glow and deal damage again.

Trivia

• The item is currently the second cheapest item in-game.
• Players can get four badges through this item. These badges are stated below, alongside ways to get said badges.
  • "IMA FIRIN MAH LAZOR", by pestering DrRETRO to the point that she kills the player with her laser.
  • "BANNED FOREVER", by annoying Infected with the Tomato.
  • "HAMMER OF", by throwing the Tomato at Mach on the WHEEL OF, OFFICE OF or WALL OF floors.
  • "SNOWY AGONY", by killing someone who has Tomato Torment effect with tomato.
• If a FleshCousin is hit by a tomato, they would play their talking animation.
• Prior to the GUIs revamp update, the Tomato's preview icon resembled a real life picture of a tomato.
• In Red Ball Temple, a Tomato can be used to activate the door to get the Bowling Ball item.
  • To do this, the player needs to throw a Tomato in the middle of the AxoSun eye located on the ceiling above Ram.
    • This does not work with the Snowball item, unlike the other three AxoSun eye symbols.
• Before the 8/3/2024 update, this item used to have the same animations as the Snowball.
• The sound that plays when the tomato hits a player or an object comes from Deltarune.
