Scag is an NPC that can be found in-game, and will enter the elevator, either through an elevator event or through Prototype grabbing her.

Appearance

Normal Form

Scag is a medium-sized CRT television on a small trolley. She has a glowing blue screen, a robotic claw arm, and a CD player on the shelf beneath her TV. The TV screen displays her face. While she is in the elevator, all her faces can be faintly seen layered over each other on her screen.

In her 2024 April Ghouls' Update appearance, only what displays on her screen is changed, showing an image of Windows 95's 3D Movie Maker disk with a white background.

In her Halloween Update appearance, she has a glowing green screen with black eyes, red circle pupils, and red swirl cheeks.

In her Christmas Update appearance, Scag is notably a present.

In her Valentine's Update appearance, she had a glowing pink screen. The floppy included on her trolley is red as opposed to black in her individual form.

Boss Form

Scag's Boss Form is her own face on the S.T.A.T. machine after she hacks into it. Her face also appears on the screens in the corner of the room.

Description

Scag is a gamer and is obsessed with vintages and antiques such as floppy disks and albums, and likes crude oil and dust. She often talks about and advertises her shop while in the elevator. She’s silly and playful, occasionally saying things just to make other NPCs angry or confused (as stated in a conversation with Mozelle). Scag also values information, and is willing to archive and read through any form of information she finds, even if it's strictly confidential or private information (such as e-mails and employee contracts) that she is not supposed to know.

Scag can hack into other machines to take control of them, as seen in S.T.A.T's Domain and Space Dropper.

Scag's speech resembles modern internet-speech and is characterized by unusual suffixes and made up portmanteaus. Nouns are often suffixed with "-filled", adjectives (sometimes nouns) with "-core", and verbs (sometimes adjectives) with "-maxxing", and hyphens are often skipped in conjoined words to make a compound word, i.e. "shopfilled", "sweetcore", "dustmaxxing", etc. They also often add her name to the beginning of adjectives such as "scagalicous" and "scagtastic". She typically doesn’t use proper punctuation and capitalization. Her dialogue also often contains slang and shorthand, and occasional typos from typing and online communication. When in the elevator, her speech sound is glitchy.

Interactions

Scag spawns in the Floppy Shoppy floor. Scag will not automatically enter the elevator by default, as Prototype must pick her up first. However, Scag can enter the elevator on her own through the "Painting Panel" Elevator Event.

Scag will leave the elevator on S.T.A.T's Domain, to hack the S.T.A.T. machine. She can either be carried by Prototype there, or roll there herself on her cart. This will trigger a more difficult version of the normal S.T.A.T. bossfight. The bossfight also features more voicelines from Scag, and a badge if defeated.

Scag will leave on 3008, Mozelle’s Humble Castle and Jermpop Factory.

Scag has an interaction with the Magnet and Mini-Magnet where holding the items close to her will cause magnetic degaussing onto Scag's screen and elicit annoyed reactions from her.

She will accept Cheezburger, Cheese, Medkit, Jerm Pop, Red Block!, Infinite Ice Cream, Chocolate Milk, Gas Mask, Cooler, and Cake Slice. She will not accept the Fizz Up!, Magic Mirror, Fizz Jug, Wet Cement, Kitty, or Dance Potion.

• Scag's name was originally going to go to Bive, but this was changed while Bive was being developed.
• Scag's faces are drawn by Twitter user tidaldreaming.
• All of Scag's faces can faintly be seen if you look close enough. This is a result of screen burn-in, which is common among CRT screens which have been left on for long periods of time.
• Scag has currently one uploaded UGC item: Scag Head.
• Even though Scag is immune to gas, she still accepts the Gas Mask when given to her.
• One of her interactions with Mannequin Mark may be a reference to a moment in a Custom Wood Burning live stream.
• Scag’s Halloween costume is a reference to the 2004 horror movie Saw. She resembles Billy the Puppet, a mechanical ventriloquist puppet designed by the main antagonist of the movie to inform their victims of the rules of the games they have to play. Notably, her costume matches with Prototype's.
