Resistor Remorse is one of the 103 items that are in-game, and is also one of the 54 floor-exclusive items.
Appearance[]
The item looks to be a light blue resistor with red, green, blue, gray and brown stripes going around it made out of metal, although missing the metal wire that usually connects a resistor to a circuit.
Interaction[]
Every few minutes, gameplay will stop and the item will display a question about resistors that players have to answer. While players can still move, the UI will block the middle of their screen. If they fail the question, they'll lose half of their HP.
Puzzle[]
- Players will be asked to click onto the bands to build a 5-band resistor with a color code that matches the given number.
- From left to right, the first 3 bands indicate digits, the 4th band indicates the multiplier, and the 5th band does not need to be changed.
Tutorial[]
- First, change the color of the first 3 bands so that it corresponds to given number but without the dot and metric prefix. (E.g. 30.8k -> 308; 243M -> 243, 100 -> 100)
- Secondly, change the color of the 4th band to the following multiplier:
| Color | Number (First 3 Bands) |
Multiplier (4th Band) |
Number Given (Multiply) |
|---|---|---|---|
| █ Black | 0 | 1 Ω | *** |
| █ Brown | 1 | 10 Ω | *.**k |
| █ Red | 2 | 100 Ω | **.*k |
| █ Orange | 3 | 1k Ω | ***k |
| █ Yellow | 4 | 10k Ω | *.**M |
| █ Green | 5 | 100k Ω | **.*M |
| █ Blue | 6 | 1M Ω | ***M |
| █ Violet | 7 | 10M Ω | *.**B |
| █ Grey | 8 | 100M Ω | **.*B |
| █ White | 9 | 1B Ω | ***B |
| █ Gold | - | - | - |
| █ Silver | - | - | - |
