Magic Mirror is one of the 104 items that can be bought from the Shop.

Appearance[]

The item appears as an antique-style dual sided mirror with a gold-colored frame and handle, as well as wreaths at the bottom of the frame.

Interaction[]

The item is sold for 25 coins in-game. When used, an animation will play where the player will look at the mirror and the mirror will explode, disappearing afterwards.

After the mirror disappears, white square particles will emit from the player and they will receive a glassy look and the Glassed! effect. This makes the player 5% lighter and faster, and take 50% more damage.

In addition, glassed players will also get instantly killed by the Bowling Ball, a hidden item found through a secret passage in the Red Ball Temple and Area 51.

All elevator NPCs will decline the item except for Unpleasant, RAT, Banrey, Linus, and Zach.

Trivia[]

  • Clicking multiple times with the magic mirror while its animation is still playing will use up more magic mirrors but give the same buff. This is most likely a bug.
  • This item has a similar function to Wet Cement, both modifying a player's character, though the wet cement gives players a concrete-like appearance and shields them from snowballs whereas the mirror gives the player a glass-like appearance and more fragility.
    • If players use Wet Cement while having the Glassed! effect, the Cemented! effect will replace it.
    • And vice versa: Cemented! can also be replaced with Glassed!.
  • The magic mirror's effects are comparable to a less extreme version of the Gift of The Eradicated (Item), but with more negligible upsides and downsides. Its downside of 50% more damage taken rarely puts players at risk of death, so it's advised to always use it at the start of every run.
  • Similar to Wet Cement and Yoyle Berry, the Glassed! effect gives the player an immunity from the concrete flood in the Stanley Room; bringing them to the top without killing them.
