The Lobby is an area that players first spawn in when joining a server on Regretevator, Regretevator Experimental, and the 2024 April Ghouls' Update.

Appearance

The lobby has a hotel and/or mansion-like interior with paintings and other decorations within. There are two doorways, the left one leading to the Gift Shop, which is where the secret basement is located, and the right one, which appears to be a convenience store. NPCs representing the developers can be seen in all three rooms.

There is also a doorway in the gift shop that leads to the normal shop. This replaced the staff room found previously.

Players can also find two secret rooms by going through one of the paintings, which is where Glevil is located, or climbing the door behind them into a vent shaft that leads to a small attic room with boxes, an ice cream truck, and a huge box of gravel that has been tipped over. Players can find a note reading, “What is your temperature?” with a mannequin behind it named “Your Body Temperature: ...°F/°C”. This number can vary, as well as if it is measured in Fahrenheit or Celsius. Currently the mannequin can be seen standing in front of burnt boxes as of the 1/12/2024 update.

In the gift shop, behind the Fizz Up! machine, there is a staff room with green striped walls. There is a mannequin called "The Thinker" with little versions of himself stacked on his left shoulder. Two beige sofas are in corresponding corners of the room, with a painting of a man thinking (referred to as "The Thinking Man") between them. A black orb rests on a table that "spawns 2 really angry followers".

Interaction

This area is where players spawn, and where they get onto the elevator. Players can explore the lobby and purchase some items from either the clothing store or the convenience store, as well as venture down to the secret basement, where players can also find Jimbo, who was relocated to said basement.

Players can also interact with a leaderboard showing the top donators, most coins earned and floors experienced by a player. This can be changed to show the monthly player's stats. To the right of the elevator, there is also a board showing a list of highlighted recent updates.

Trivia

  • There is a portrait right next to the right doorway in the shop showing someone who seems to be the 'founder' of Regretevator, that being James 'Regretevator' Dixon.
  • The buttons that are in the lobby's elevator can not be interacted with.
  • There are two secret rooms located in the lobby, one being behind a painting near the door, and one in the vent above said door.
  • Players are able to get the "YOU JOINED" badge here if they join the game for the first time.
  • According to yeuc_c, the lobby of Regretevator is a purgatory of evil.[2]
    • It is also a lobby for a tourist attraction, the Regretevator is considered one and this tourist attraction is centered around it.[3]
  • Players need to complete 10 floors to access the gift shop and the shop.
  • If the player uses third person shift lock next to the Under Renovation door in the gift shop, the player can see inside of a room with a regularly changing scene of characters.
    • There is also a decal on the back side of the door, only visible if the camera is positioned at a certain angle, that is a stretched image of a kid drawing with a caption that says 'I FREAKIN LOVE COLORING!!!!!!!'.
    • Before third-person was introduced, the only way to see this room was with the Ifone.
    • Prior to an unknown update, the staff room looked like a secondary part of the gift shop and wasn't closed off, so it could be accessed by players.
  • If the player tries to use a phone in the elevator picture, the player will see a not perfectly matched face.
  • In the 6/29/2024 update, the shape of the carpet on the floor was changed from a multitude of circles to a straight path that leads to the elevator.
  • If the player sets their graphics to 3 or lower, the image of the painting that leads to the secret room darkens a bit.
  • Prior to an unknown update, all of the lights in the basement used to be completely on, and Jimbo used to be upright.
    • After the update, only two lights were on, one in the basement, and another one in the projector room. Jimbo and his chair have also been tipped over.
      • On the 7/20/2024 update, all of the lights were on again. However, Jimbo has not gotten back up.
        • On the 8/3/2024 update, Jimbo is now upright again, next to a sign saying "THE JIMBO SHOW".
        • On the 8/24/2024 update, several mannequins capturing the show were added.
        • On the 10/26/2024 update, a voxel-ish figure called "THE IDOL" was added onto the chair.
  • The projector in the projector room in the basement projects a Normal face from Geometry Dash.
    • However, the image can sometimes "flash" into a red-tinted version of it.
    • In the 9/21/2024 update, the image was changed into a fafa shadow, which disappears with the graphics at 3 or lower.
  • One of the figures seen in the basement abyss appears to be Nicant02, one of the developers of Regretevator.
  • The lobby will never ever be a floor.[4]
  • The floor Elevator Shaft is connected to the Lobby's basement, it is also where the music is coming from.
  • The fire in the attic does no damage.
  • Sometime before the staff room went under renovation, there was a secret attic room accessible through a loose foam ceiling tile. Jimbo was located in said attic, alongside a radio playing sombre music.[citation needed]
  • The music that plays on the radio at the gift shop changes from update to update. The songs being:
  • There is a small chance for a water cooler to appear in the middle of the lobby after exiting the elevator[5] (either by dying or saving your streak).

  • In an unknown update, the room had an infantile, colorful rubber carpet, and a Fafa (3D) with different sizes of itself around it. On one of the fafas, there is a tower of bowling pins with another fafa above it. There is also a dark hallway in the left side of the room, with a note above the doorway saying "I know you're looking at" with a small image next to it.
  • In an older unknown update, the room was a playroom similar to the one mentioned above, but with three Banreys sitting down with their heads put near a singular bowling pin. Another Banrey (in the static pose) can be also seen near the doorway.
    • There are many older versions of this, such as one featuring several stone Banrey's around a campfire, and another one featuring only stone Banrey's, which is the oldest one after the room got closed off.
  • In the 6/1/2024 update, the room was revamped to only include a single 3D fafa, a large group of small monkeys was added, the bowling pins were replaced with a single monkey found on the fafa, and the light now has a red tint, similar to the ones seen in Happy Birthday?. The banner above the doorway was also removed, however.
  • In the 6/15/2024 update, the room was revamped once again to include more fafas, with one of them having a more wide open mouth, some large monkeys were added, and a few Banreys with glowing eyes were added.
  • In the 7/6/2024 update, the room was revamped once more again to have a much brighter red tint, more similar to the one seen in Snackcore, the circular light on the ceiling is lit red, all of the fafas, the Banreys and monkeys were gone, and a monster with a grinning face was added, seen peeking on the doorway.
    • In the 7/13/2024 update, the room's entire appearance remained the same, but a little bit modified include a Redditor-like humanoid giving the monster a thin sign with a gold Reddit award decal on it.
  • In the 7/20/2024 update, the room was once more modified to include a tentacled monster attacking the Redditor, and the other monster is now gone.
  • In the 7/27/2024, the room was modified again to include all of the monsters replaced with a Banrey remodeled but rextextured to look like Barney Calhoun from Half-Life. Despite his face being obscured, it can be seen with the GomBall.
  • In the 8/3/2024 update, the Barney Calhoun monster was moved further away, and the light was lit in a cyan-like hue.
    • In the 8/24/2024 update, the Banrey Calhoun monster's torso was heavily stretched, causing to its upper body to not be seen as it clipped into the ceiling (can be seen with graphics at 1). The light was also colored white and made extremely bright, making everything look neon white.
  • In the 9/14/2024 update, the light is normalised, but the room has been emptied. However, despite the lights lighting up the room white, their bulb is blue instead.
  • In the 9/21/2024 update, the room stayed the same, but the light became a bit less bright and less ranged, and a blue sphere and a cube with faces with lips and three creatures that resemble Yum Zlurplie were added, seen below:
    • One lacks ears with its head crushed by a diamond.
    • One lacks the visor and its recolored pink.
    • One lacks ears, has a chubby body, wears clothes, is recolored red, and has a mad face with stretched eyebrows. The mouth is also from BFDI.
  • In the 9/28/2024 update, the blue ball and the purple cube were repositioned to look at the Yum Zlurplie creatures, and a grid of clocks were added on the wall near the doorway.
  • In the 10/04/2024 update, the shapes with faces were gone from the room and relocated at the sea in the basement, near the GomBall.
    • This continued to be moved in other places.
  • In the 10/19/24 update, the clocks have been repositioned to looked like a smiley face. The left wall has been changed to a glitched out Annoying Orange. There is now a black shadow on the center of the colorful carpet that changes each day. The black shadows are based off memes, inside jokes and other images (new ones are italicized):
  • In the 10/26/24 update, it remained the same, but the Yum Zlurplie creatures were replaced with a giant Donubrako. The black shadow continues to change every day:
  • In the 11/2/2024 update, the black shadow is gone from the staff room, and relocated to a sign on the door that leads to the basement, with a blank one above it. Donubrako was also rotated to look at the player, and the image on the left wall is gone.
  • In the 11/30/24 update, Donubrako is gone from the staff room.
  • In the 12/30/24 patch, the light was changed to lit the entire room green, and a floating and T-posing Zach was added on the rubber carpet.
  • In the 01/11/25 update, Zach was made slightly larger and his pose was changed to be instead laying down on the floor with both arms pointing to each side. The ceiling, right wall, and the short hallway, as well as Zach and the Gomball's face, were changed to display an image of a pickup truck in closeup, with the clocks being repositioned in the shape of a loss.
  • In the 02/01/25 update, most of the previous content was removed, the light is now colored a faint yellowish orange, and many assets similar to the ones from the basement, such as textured wallpapers, wood planks, and many tools as well as two mannequins an armchair stuck on the ceiling were added. Zach also remained as well.
  • In the 03/14/24 update, with the development of Infinity Cafe, the staff room became the shop, now being accessible again.
