Not to be confused with the effect of the same name.
INTERLOPER is one out of the 103 items that are in-game, and is also one out of the 54 floor-exclusive items.
Appearance[]
The item appears as a fully black human-like object sitting down, with a blocky head, arms, torso, and legs, similar to Token of Asclepius (Item).
Description[]
The item can be bought in-game on the Curse Cove floor for 20 coins. When purchased, the player will be given the Interloper (Effect), which randomly plays a wind chime sound and constantly spawns a black humanoid figure close to the player called the Interloper.
The Interloper does not do anything of note, but will instantly disappear when the player looks at it.

Trivia[]
- This item alongside its effect is a reference to PROJECT SKY//BOX.
- Just like Emerson in the Reddy's Underground Diner floor, the Interloper's name when hovered over is a period.
- The Interloper can be pushed by the wind in the Minefield floor.
- They can also be pushed by items thrown and spawned by NPCs, or by objects that are flung within some floors.
- They can also fall on disappearing platforms.
- The icon for the effect is also reference to the graffiti found in half life 2
- If the player looks at the Interloper through a barrier, he will not disappear.
- This is probably because it thinks it is being blocked by a wall, so it doesn't disappear.
- The Interloper can also be looked at when it is "behind" or "inside" an NPCs.
- The Interloper can also be seen through walls and objects that have a neon glow texture or have a texture ID.
