Infected Apartment is one out of 102 floors that can be randomly chosen or selected by a player. It is currently in-game.

Appearance

This floor takes place in what seems to be a run-down apartment complex consisting of only two floors, including the ground area. Inside, two doors can be seen opened, one leading into Infected's apartment, and another into an apartment filled with yellow smile images, alongside a window that players can come in, or out of. Voombas can be seen around the floor.

Within the ground floor, there can be seen several dumpster and trash bins, alongside ladders leading onto a balcony, which players can use to navigate through the pipes, or other balconies. One of these ladders can lead onto Infected's balcony as well. There can also be seen several entryways into a city-like area but is blocked off by an invisible wall.

There is a Ticket Printer in Infected's closet and a Converter on this floor.

Gameplay

The elevator will open to an empty hallway. In the far-left room of the apartment, either Unpleasant will be standing in Infected's room and begin walking to the elevator to enter it, or Infected will arrive through a window and walk into the elevator. If the elevator is full, Unpleasant will fall to the ground, motionless. Infected will return to his room and sit down at his computer.

After a few seconds into the floor, a random piece of the map will suddenly become a "missing texture" with a noise indicating corruption. After the first missing texture has appeared, it will begin to spread and corrupt more of the apartment with the missing texture. The infection will spread faster as the floor proceeds. Despite this, some pieces of furniture cannot get the missing texture on them, such as the crate, table and sofa situated just outside of the elevator.

After the first infected part appears, players will receive a GUI instructing them to close the valves throughout the map, as well as that the infection is spreading and to avoid infected parts. Only one valve will be open at a time, indicated by a purple glow around them and a purple marker that can be seen through walls displaying its position. Players who close them will be awarded with coins, with the valve remaining open but losing its purple glow. Valves that are not open yet will have their covers closed and will display a red marker with an X if approached. Once all valves are closed, the spreading of the infection will stop completely, and the floor will end shortly afterwards. These valves are located in:

Missing textures damage the player by 2 or 3% HP per touch and will also turn the player's affected skin tone pink. Though this doesn't make any changes to the player and is only an appearance effect, it is permanent until the player dies or uses items such as Wet Cement, Magic Mirror, Yellow Tomatoes, or Scrub Father.

Strangely enough, if the missing texture spreads enough, it can get to the elevator and "infect" it too. The effect remains on the elevator for approximately 10 minutes and will affect anyone who touches it, including NPCs. After the missing texture disappears from the elevator, the affected part will be replaced by the current floor's wall texture.

Additionally, as of September 21, 2024, players can interact with the yellow arcade machine in Infected's room titled "punch a baby in public 4" to begin a minigame that involved pressing the various buttons on the arcade machine to punch a robloxian baby as many times as humanly possible. This is completely optional and does not earn the player coins.

Trivia

• The word "Infected" in "Infected Apartment" is an adjective.
• Players are able to get the "I PAUSED MY GAME TO BE HERE" badge if Infected enters the elevator, or the "WORST BADGE EVER" badge if Unpleasant enters the elevator.
• The far-left room of the apartment, the same one that Unpleasant spawns in, has the layout and decoration that references the video game, Facade.
  • In the Halloween update, it was renovated to reference the Happy Home of Robloxia model from Roblox.
• This the only floor for some NPCs to get stuck through doorways, such as Wallter and Split.
• The white and orange kitten picture by Infected's couch is an image of NotMakos' cat, Pixel.
• This floor is one of two floors to win the Regretevator floor contest, the other being the WHEEL OF floor.
• Infected's room plays the beginning of the song The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny very faintly.
• In the 2024 April Fools' Update, the missing texture was changed into the "Darkness", the main antagonist of Learning With Pibby, and when a glitched part is touched, the player's affected body part turns blue instead.
• The plushie seen on the balcony next to Infected's room is a UGC hat published by yeuc_c's group, The Axolotl Sun, called "Shark Dev Plush".
• The sound that plays whenever the infection spreads is from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, specifically being the "error" sound that plays in certain situations such as whenever the player tries to use an item that Link cannot currently use.
• The background of the "punch a baby in public 4" minigame is a picture of Dead Center from Left 4 Dead 2's 4th chapter, known as the Atrium.
  • There's also a "punch a baby in public 4" arcade cabinet at the end of Toolbox Speedway.
• Similar to Superhighway, there's a slight chance the track for this floor is remixed to sound like another song. On this floor it's referencing "Temporary Secretary" by Paul McCartney.
  • On March 22, 2025, this version was officially uploaded to the SiIvaGunner channel.
• There is a death screen when dying to the infection. A multitude of "You are an idiot" windows will appear on the player's screen, accompanied by the "You are an idiot" song.
