DrRETRO is an NPC that can be found in-game, and will enter the elevator.

Appearance

DrRETRO appears in both the renders and the games as a yellow sphere with two shiny oval-shaped eyes located at the front, alongside a massive smiling open mouth. She also has a pair of cat ears at her head as well.

In her Christmas appearance in 2023, she has dark purple earmuffs, which do not go over her actual ears. In her 2024 April Ghouls' Update appearance, nothing much is changed besides her now being transparent and fully white excluding her eyes. In her Halloween appearance in 2024, she has a pair of fangs, and her Birthday appearance is identical but she wears a party hat. Her Christmas appearance in 2024 is similar to her Christmas 2023 appearance, only that her earmuffs are pink and green with a black band connecting the two.

Description

As seen in her interactions with other characters, DrRETRO is a friendly, happy NPC who takes her job as a doctor seriously, often concerning herself with the health of others. This can be seen in her interactions with characters like Infected and PartyNoob. Despite this, she doesn't hesitate to kill players who annoy her, as well as random NPCs if the elevator happens to be too full. The reason for her doing this is unknown. Although she only speaks in cat noises, various pieces of dialogue are translated. How the NPCs know exactly what she's saying is currently also unknown.

Interactions

If the Gumball Machine floor is chosen, there will be a small chance for DrRETRO to peek through the elevator from the top of the elevator upside down, with her falling and entering the elevator soon after. If the elevator is full when DrRETRO tries to enter, she will kill two random NPCs in it and take their place. She will swivel left to right repeatedly during her trip in the elevator. DrRETRO will exit the elevator on the Happy Home Party, Tumblr Ballpit, Slide 4 Admin, Shop Space, Floppy Shoppy, Infected Apartment and Two Stud Camp floors.

If a player throws a Snowball or Tomato at her four times, sprays her with the Spray Bottle six times, shoots her with the Tiny Foamer 5 times, throws a Bowling Ball at her 5 times, shoots her with the Anti Voomba Mechanism once, or scrubs her with the Scrub Father six times, she will kill them via purple lasers from her eyes while saying "Nuh uh uh!".

If MR is in the elevator, DrRETRO will kill it with purple lasers from her eyes. However, MR's death results in an explosion that also kills her. Alternatively, if MRManeuverer is present on the Shop Space floor, she will also kill them via purple lasers from her eyes before attacking MR.

Additionally, if any NPCs with less than 50 HP are present in the elevator, DrRETRO will heal them to their maximum HP. She does this via green lasers from her eyes.

If Jermbo is attempting to enter the elevator, DrRETRO will kill it with purple lasers from her eyes.

The only items DrRETRO accepts are the Cheezburger, Cheese and Medkit. She will refuse Fizz Up!, Magic Mirror, Fizz Jug, Jerm Pop, Wet Cement, Red Block!, Infinite Ice Cream, Dance Potion, Chocolate Milk, Gas Mask, Kitty, Cooler, and Cake Slice.

• DrRETRO was designed by Nicant.
• Contrary to popular belief, DrRETRO is not based off of the cat emotes from Animal Jam. Instead, she is based off of the Pac-Man design from Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures.
  • One could speculate that this Pac-Man association could be what the "Retro" part of her name is derived from.
  • Despite this, said Animal Jam emojis make an appearance on a thumbnail featuring DrRETRO.
• DrRETRO's abilities to heal NPCs was referenced in the changelog by saying that she gained her medical license.
• Players can get the "MEOW MEOW MEOW" badge by meeting DrRETRO for the first time.
  • Players are also able to get the "IMA FIRIN MAH LAZOR" badge by getting killed by DrRETRO for the first time.
  • This is a reference to SHOOP-DA-WOOP
  • If you annoy DrRETRO in Two Stud Camp, and she disappears before she kills you, you will still have the laser particles as if you were still being pulverized.
• The concept art of DrRETRO featured barely visible paws that are able to elongate into legs. This isn't seen ingame and was presumably scrapped.
• DrRETRO does not stop the meteor impact on the Happy Home Party floor.
• DrRETRO, Mannequin_Mark, PartyNoob, Reddy, Spud!, RAT and Gnarpy are the seven NPCs that are able to enter the elevator and harm players.
• DrRETRO is one of three NPCs capable of killing MR, the other two being Jermbo and Mach.
  • However, unlike these two, DrRETRO dies after she kills MR.
