Clover is an NPC that can be found in-game, but will not enter the elevator.

Appearance

Clover appears as a 2D image that is a pieced-together & warped image of multiple people's faces, having one blue eye and one brown eye. Clover appears to have brown, short hair and a wide smile, as well as two large ears.

Description

Upon seeing a player, he will laugh and proceed to gradually darken and target the player. Clover will stay still as a line forms between him and the targeted player before rapidly approaching the player. This line shows the path Clover will take to get to the player and any players in the way when Clover charges will be killed instantly.

There is also a chance for the Clover charge trail to be red, appearing in front of the player being chased as a way to trick players. This can kill most people who are unaware.

Once Clover has killed a player, he will return to normal and move away, usually sparing any other players nearby. Clover can be avoided as long as the player keeps moving.

• A common misconception is that Clover is a photoshopped image of popular Twitch streamer Jerma985. However, according to the developers of the game, he is actually just an amalgamation of different AI generated faces from the website ThisPersonDoesNotExist.
• Clover can be considered a parody of Bacteria from the official Backrooms lore.
• Clover is the only NPC found in the Backrooms floor.
• Players are able to get the "CLOVER SLAM!" badge by killing another player while having Clover chasing them.
• There is a chance that more than 1 Clover can spawn. The highest amount confirmed is 4 Clovers.
• Clover's laugh comes from phil_thyrich, one of the music designers.
• Using a Fizz Jug while being chased by Clover makes you immune to his attacks while ragdolled.
