Banrey is an 2024 April Ghouls' Update and developer-exclusive NPC that can be found in-game, and can enter the elevator.

Appearance

Banrey appears as a poorly modeled 3D version of Barney the Dinosaur with a wide mouth, and in-game, does not have it's own unique animations, instead being stuck in A-pose.

Description

Banrey is incredibly hostile and immediately murders NPCS when they get the chance to by exploding them. In addition, it also talks frequently of judging the players in the elevator with vague threats, although it will not attack them. Banrey is also working with members of their species to hunt down and kill Mach in specific, who likewise has been given an bounty on exterminating Banrey's species as well. Banrey has a tendency to repeat "Turmoil" on occasion.

Interactions

Banrey can be seen in the April Fools Lobby as several stone-textured clones placed all around the area. When in the elevator, it will explode other NPCs when an NPC interacts with it. Snowball and Tomato thrown at it will be redirected back at the thrower.

It isn't hostile to players but it will kill any NPC every floor. Banrey has no other dialogue with any NPCS except for when they are going to explode an NPC.

Trivia

• Banrey is also a dev-exclusive NPC, and can be seen shortly in WHEEL OF, WALL OF, and HALL OF, specifically when the elevator doors open.
• According to dialogue with themselves, Mach has been sent to hunt down their species. Mach herself also mentions having a "bounty" on a "purple dinosaur" on the WHEEL OF floor when the wheel lands on "REROLL" 3 times in a row.
• Banrey's design is most likely a reference to a badly made Barney sculpture located at The Den and the Glen park at Maryculter, Scotland. Which is associated with the "cha cha real smooth" meme.
• Banrey only has one animation (specifically for talking) and is completely static otherwise.
• The Banrey interaction that only says Turmoil repeats for a while.
